Manager of CNC Programming #2495 

Highly Motivated and Team leader needed to oversee our CNC Programming Department.

State of the Art aerospace manufacturing facility specializing in precision-machined parts for the gas turbine aircraft engine and power generation industries is in search of the top talent.

Our world headquarters just outside the Detroit area needs to fill this crucial role to keep our expansion and world class operation moving forward.

Your years of manufacturing background and developing and leading teams will be key for you to fill this role.

 

 

Primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:

* – Lead and build a team to monitor and improve manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, reduce product cost and improve yields on all products

* – Integrate new technology into an existing business environment by coordinating with external vendors

* – Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development.

* – Establish and adjust an organizational structure that best supports the plant goals and measurements

* – Concentrate on and manage a culture of accountability with metric-driven results through strategic deployment and effective performance management while mitigating interdepartmental conflicts

* – Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to all CNC Programming employees

* – Standardize departmental processes to eliminate process planning method variances

* Implementing efficient, timely and cost-effective solutions to produce the manufacture of complex parts of various geometric dimensions requiring adherence to tight tolerances

* – Establish a training matrix to identify and act upon identified training needs for continuing education, seminars and training for CNC Programming staff

* – Administer and oversee technical program/project execution by managing scope, tasks, schedules and cost projections for all projects

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly manage and supervise all CNC Programmers and Manufacturing Application Engineers.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in related field plus at least 10 years of CNC Programming experience plus managing CNC Programmers in a large, precision-machining manufacturing operation in the aerospace industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

* – Subject matter expert in programming multi-axis CNC equipment on a myriad of machine/control types for precision machined metal aerospace parts

* – Strong knowledge of GD&T principles

* – Exposure to advanced cutting tool technology for improving metal removal and tool life management

* – Experience using integrated management programs (CAP, Stacker, Zoller-TMS, etc.)

* – Demonstrated experience in CAD/CAM applications and modeling complex assemblies and tools

* – Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

* – Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends

She is responsible for sourcing and recruiting, lead generation, internet research and various other responsibilities within both the medical device and precision machining industries.

With 25 years at Xerox Corporation in New York, Paula had a prosperous and noteworthy career where she excelled during her tenure. She brings her vast knowledge and expertise in procurement, supply chain, contract administration and project management to the firm. She is a creative and natural problem-solver with proven success in developing and implementing new procedures and processes as well as integrating newly acquired subsidiaries.

Now, she’s using her expertise to build a network of solid relationships in the medical device and precision machining industries that help hiring managers find the top talent they need to improve their organizations.

Paula is Lean Six Sigma certified (Green Belt), has a Master of Science in business management and a Bachelor of Science in education.
